Our Story

Our Journey

Our story began with a serendipitous encounter at Amsterdam Sloterdijk. On the following dates between Leiden and Amsterdam we would continue to get to know each other more, until we finally decided to move in together in Amsterdam. During this time we went on several adventures and trips together, like Mexico and China.

Early 2025 we made our move to Utrecht, where we now live very comfortably. This gave us the extra confirmation that we are ready for our next step. On June 28 we got engaged!

As we start this new chapter, we are filled with excitement. We look forward to creating many more beautiful memories and
we would love to celebrate this special moment with our dear family and friends in Qingdao, the coastal city in Shandong province where Yayue grew up.

Plan Your Visit

Flight to China

We recommend flying to Beijing or Shanghai and taking the speed train to Qingdao, although you can also transfer directly to Qingdao airport.

To the wedding location

We will arrange a bus service from the center to Qingdao to the wedding location on May 18th. More info will follow.

Discover Qingdao

There are a few sights and hotels we recommend in Qingdao. Explore the vibrant culture, beautiful shores and mountains.
